Refunds Policy

This Refunds Policy forms part of the Blackbeancoffee.africa Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) and must be read together with them. In the event of any inconsistency, the Terms & Conditions shall prevail.

1. When Refunds Apply

Refunds are considered only where:

  • Goods are confirmed to be defective in terms of the Consumer Protection Act, 2008; or
  • A valid cancellation has been exercised under the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 2002; or
  • A return has been approved by us in writing in accordance with our Returns, Exchanges & Refunds Policy.

2. Change of Mind / Cooling-Off

  • Where applicable, consumers may cancel an order within 7 (seven) days of receiving the goods, excluding the day of delivery.
  • Goods must be unused, undamaged, and in original unopened packaging.
  • Sealed goods relating to health or hygiene (including coffee and the like) are not eligible once unsealed.

3. Defective Goods

  • Defects must be reported within 24 hours of becoming apparent.
  • Goods may be referred to the supplier or authorised service agent for inspection and confirmation.
  • If a defect is confirmed, goods will be repaired or replaced, or a refund will be issued where applicable.

4. Fees, Deductions & Non-Refundable Costs

  • Delivery fees are non-refundable.
  • Where a return is due to change of mind or an incorrect purchase, a 10% administration fee may be deducted.
  • Supplier restocking fees (typically between 20–25%) may apply and will be deducted from the refund amount.
  • Return courier costs are for the customer’s account unless goods are confirmed faulty.

5. Refund Method & Timing

  • Approved refunds are processed via EFT or a PayFast reversal to the original payment method.
  • Refunds are processed once returned goods are received and funds have cleared.
  • Refunds may take up to 72 hours to reflect, depending on banking institutions.
  • No cash refunds are processed.

6. Delivery-Related Claims

  • Goods must be inspected immediately upon delivery.
  • Damage or shortages must be reported immediately or within 24 hours.
  • Signing for delivery (signature or PIN) confirms receipt in good order.
