Espresso Machine Cleaning Powder

The Espresso Machine Cleaning Powder is a rapidly soluble, free-rinsing formulation designed to remove built-up coffee oils, grounds, and stains from espresso machines. It improves the flavour and aroma of your coffee while leaving no odour or residue behind.

Directions for Use

Backflushing Delivery Groups

1. Remove coffee filter from group handle and replace with blind filter.
2. For daily cleaning, add 1 level scoop of Espresso Clean® to the group handle. For less frequent cleaning, use 2 scoops.
3. Insert handle and start brew cycle. Run for 10 seconds to dissolve powder, then stop for 10 seconds.
4. Repeat start/stop cycle 4 more times: run for 10 seconds, stop for 10 seconds each.
5. Remove handle and rinse under a stream of water from the group head. Turn off the water.
6. Reinsert handle with blind filter and run 10 quick cycles: 5 seconds on, 2 seconds off.
7. Replace blind filter with regular filter, brew and discard a single espresso shot to re-season the group head.

Cleaning Filters and Group Handles

1. Soak group handles and filters in 500 mL of hot water with 2 level scoops of Espresso Clean® for 10 minutes.
2. Rinse thoroughly under hot running water before reassembly.
